Tables for iOS
Tables is a free app for creating and managing sport tournaments. No ads, no accounts.
Questions, bug reports and feature requests are all welcome.
Email opens your mail app with a message template. If no mail app is set up on your device, use Copy email address and paste it wherever you read your mail.
Please include your app version (Settings → About), your iOS version, and your device model — most questions can't be answered without them.
The app also has a Feedback form on the About page. That one is anonymous: it can be read, but there is no way to reply to it. Use email if you want an answer.
This was a bug on iOS 16 and iOS 17 in app versions 4.0.5 and earlier: the confirm button was missing from the "Add team" dialog, and some lists rendered blank. It is fixed. Update to the latest version from the App Store and it will work normally.
Version 4.0 moved all data to a new storage format. This happens once, automatically, the first time the new version is opened, and it can take a few seconds with many tournaments.
If the app shows a warning that some tournaments couldn't be loaded, nothing has been deleted — updating to the latest version recovers them. If it says the old tournaments can't be opened at all, please get in touch before deleting or reinstalling the app.
A small number of tournaments lost their custom scoring settings during the move to the new storage format. They can be set again from the tournament → Edit → Scoring points system and Ordering rules. If the tournament used a scoring system created by hand and it is no longer listed, get in touch — it can be recovered.
All data is stored on the device only. There is no account, no cloud copy and no backup held anywhere else, so deleting the app deletes the tournaments with it. Unfortunately this cannot be recovered. Backup and export are on the roadmap.
A cup is created from a league. Add your teams first, then tap "Cup" to convert the tournament into a knockout bracket. Winners advance to the next round automatically.
Conversion to a cup is only possible before any games are added. You also need a power-of-two number of teams: 4, 8, 16, and so on. Add or remove teams until the count matches, then convert. Note that converting to a cup can't be undone.
Swipe left on the tournament in the tournament list.
Swipe left on the tournament in the tournament list and tap "Copy". A duplicate with all teams and settings is created, so you can change it without affecting the original.
Tap the team in the results table and select "Delete". All games with that team will be deleted as well.
Tap the team in the results table and select "Bonus points". Enter a positive value to add points or a negative value to deduct them.
Swipe left on the game in the games list.
You can create your own. Open your tournament → tap "Edit" → select "Scoring points system" → choose an existing system or create your own.
The default sorting uses these criteria in order: points, goal difference, head-to-head games, goals scored, number of wins. You can choose a different one: open your tournament → tap "Edit" → select "Ordering rules".
At this time all data is stored in your device's local storage. You will lose everything if you delete the app, and there is currently no way to back up, export or share a tournament.
Send feedback or an email from the About page in the app, or use the Email button at the top of this page.
Feedback is anonymous, so it can be read but not replied to. Use email if you want an answer.
Send feedback or an email from the About page. It may well be implemented in a future release — most of what has been added came from user requests.
It's not planned right now. Send your language by feedback or email so it's clear which languages are actually needed.
